Anti Plagirism Policy
The Mirpur Islamicus Journal of Religious and Social Studies (MIJRSS) maintains an extremely strict policy regarding plagiarism and academic misconduct, strictly following the guidelines of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. MIJRSS will not accept any plagiarized articles for publication, as plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is not acceptable.
Pre-submission Responsibility: All authors and researchers are strongly requested to check their respective articles for plagiarism and ensure proper acknowledgment and citation of the work of others before submitting the manuscript for publication. Material quoted verbatim must be placed in quotation marks. A declaration is required from the author(s) that the manuscript contains solely their original work and is not under consideration for publishing in any other journal in any form.
Detection Process: All received manuscripts will be vigorously checked for plagiarism. The journal follows a strict policy where the Similarity Report on Turnitin must be below 19 percent. If a similarity index of more than 19% is found, the manuscript will either be rejected or left at the discretion of the Editorial Board for the purposes of a conditional acceptance, as per HEC policy. The editorial team is promoted to confirm plagiarism through Turnitin and/or searching for similar titles.
Consequences: Violation of these ethical publishing guidelines, including plagiarism, may result in the application of penalties by the editor, including but not limited to the suspension or revocation of publishing privileges. Upon confirmation of plagiarism, the journal will take measures to publish a corrigendum, remove the article, and officially retract the plagiarized article. The Mirpur Islamicus Journal of Religious and Social Studies (MIJRSS) maintains an extremely strict policy regarding plagiarism and academic misconduct, strictly following the guidelines of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
